Day 2

In addition to saying nothing negative to your spouse again today, do at least one unexpected gesture as an act of kindness.

Be kind to one another, tender-hearted, forgiving each other, just as God in Christ also has forgiven you. -Ephesians 4:32

  1. Ok, I am starting out a bit better today! I am bright eyed and ready to be nice today! HA! I am going to go by the store and get Lance a Dave Campbells magazine (a football mag Lance LOVES) to get him excited about college football next year. I saw one on the stands the other day, thought of him and just left it! I am going to buy it today and lay it on the counter. ;o)

  2. Well, Lance loved the magazine! YEAH! ;o)

  3. Ok, this must be REALLY flipping working because while we were eating this awesome dinner our neighbor came over and Lance walked over to his house to help him take out a stump, well, that was 7:45 and Lance didn't come home until 10:45 and he is buzzing hard and smells like a Miller Lite can! The normal Julie would of COME UNDONE and started a HUGE fight with him! Well, I was calm, helped him into bed, tucked him in and kissed him goodnight as I held my breath from smelling the beer. Why you may ask? Because Lance hardly ever gets drunk, I mean, ever, and I am blessed and thankful that he chose to do it within walking distance of this house. He and I went round and round in his early twenties about drinking and driving and going to bars. So, now in his early thirties he stays home, doesn't go to bars and once in a blue moon lets loose, I may not like it, I may not do it myself, but I am still so blessed!

    WOW! New Me!

  4. that's huge julie! what a test- you made a good choice and God put this in your life right now for a reason...can you imagine if you hadn't been "daring" yourself?

  5. I'm thinking I'm gonna buy this book. I haven't seen the movie yet but have wanted to for awhile. Now with this blog you got going I am dying to see it and read the book :o) I couldn't help but think of you yesterday cause Colin and I got into an argument which was my fault. He lost his insurance card so when we went to pay for his prescription at Walgreens he said he NEVER had one. Which I know is bull because he's been to the doctor a couple times and used it. I called him irresponsible because he seems to lose EVERYTHING...didn't help that I was PMSing either. Anyway, long story short I had to suck it up and apologize to him for being ugly and hurting his feelings. I prayed right before apologizing to him for God to give me a true heart of repentance and the words to say and right as I was finished I giggled cause I thought of you and your quest to say only nice things to your honey :o) So, I'm gonna buy the book too...we can all use a little help in this marriage thing cause NO ONE has it all figured out and gets it right all of the time...

I love comments!
