I attended a Scrapbooking retreat at Las Brisas Farms and I must say, I can't wait to go back. This place www.lasbrisasfarm.com at first had me unsure. It was hot (I mean, Texas HOT HOT) and the bunkhouse where we scrapped was away from the Arbor House, where I slept. I was thinking, "I am not going to walk back and forth", boy was I wrong. They mainly cater to weddings and events, Texas Style, with twinkling white lights and the Texas Hill Country in the background. They also offer their rooms and buildings for retreats, over nighters, reunions, events, etc. I fell so in love with it that I plan on not only going back to the next retreat in the summer of 2010, but in the Spring for our anniversary. The food and scenery were to die for, but the feeling of home and comfy slippers was even better. Every lady out there must attend a scrapbooking retreat whenever you can (I attend 2 a year) and the cherry on top would be one at Las Brisas.
Rugs I Love & Others I Don’t

It took me almost 20 years and 12 houses before I believed in the power of
a large rug. Before that I thought rugs were just decor or just something
soft...
